The Role:         
We are seeking a talented and creative Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in big data applications to join our dynamic team. As a Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in implementing a web application responsible for data analyzation and visualization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, data analysis, and visualization techniques, along with experience in handling large datasets efficiently. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions in the realm of big data analytics.

Responsibilities            
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of full-stack software solutions, including web applications, APIs, and microservices, using modern technologies and best practices.
  • Architect scalable and maintainable software systems, considering factors such as performance, security, and usability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and engineers, to understand requirements, define technical solutions, and deliver high-quality software products.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, mentoring junior developers, conducting code reviews, and promoting best coding practices.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in full-stack development, and drive their adoption within the organization.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identify opportunities for process optimization and automation, and implement solutions to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to software development methodologies, standards, and guidelines, and promote a culture of quality and innovation within the team.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback, address concerns, and ensure alignment of technical solutions with business objectives.
  • Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews, to deliver incremental value to stakeholders
 Requirements            
  • 8+ years of proven experience in software development with a focus on big data analysis and visualization.
  • Solid knowledge of using languages such as Node.js, Java, Python, or R.
  • Proficiency with front-end development knowledge including HTML, CSS, Tailwind, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Storybook.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and distributed computing concepts.
  • Proficient knowledge of software development lifecycle, agile methodologies, and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Experience with big data processing technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka.
  • Familiarity with NoSQL and SQL database systems for querying and manipulating large datasets.
  • Familiarity with data science
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, creative thinking, and the ability to work well under pressure to iteratively optimize and innovate products.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Able to give and receive constructive feedback to continuously improve solutions.
  • Nice to have healthcare domain experience.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $180,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
